FAQ
What do I need to wear?

Wear what you think is appropriate for the weather and what activities you may do before, during and after the tour.

If you wear thongs, sandals or flip-flops, depending on what you call them, just be aware that you may be banned from the back of house areas if we choose to visit them. You can't always go onsite in your Havanas mate!

Will the tour run in any weather?

Yes. When it is wet and wild we will find a fire drink boozy-booze and eat comfort food! On a summers day, we will slip, slop, slap!

We will only be stopped by a natural disaster, pandemic (maybe!) or alien invasion. If Zombies attack we are forging on!

Are there other drinks besides beer?

Yes. Heaps. Ha!

We recommend when you visit any venue that you get involved in what they are making. No matter what they are doing though, we will get you sorted with something you like!

What happens if I get drunk?

You will become fun, friendly and highly amusing. A great dancer, lover and a fantastic storey teller?!

We will always do our best to ensure you are having an awesome time. We also want you to be awesome. So stay awesome people!

Anti-social behaviour will be treated as just that and you will be removed from society!

Can I bring drinks on the bus?

By law, no.

During the morning and day it is just not required. Trust us, we are not doing our job if you can still drink on the bus. On the way home, if you were to drink a non-descript refreshing beverage out of a non-descript travelsafe container who would stop you?! ;)

By law, no!

Can I buy takeaway drinks to take home with me?

Yes.

And don't forget to grab yourself some Aussie Brewery Tours merch!

How can I book and pay?

You can book online (easiest way), via your local booking agent (we have many around town) or by chatting to us on the phone or our website.

You can pay the deposit (30%) or your full balance by MasterCard, VISA or American Express with the balance payable by cash or card.

Can I just turn up and pay on the day?

We wouldn't recommend it! If you want to join a tour very late, give us a call and we will do our best to squeeze you onboard. It is a good idea to book ahead though to avoid dissapointment.

What if I need to change the date or cancel my tour?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your tour date or cancel your tour. We always try to be as accomodating as possible.

It is best to check our full terms and conditions for our current cancellation policy.

Do you require minimum numbers to run?

Yes. Our tours are best when we have a nice little crew to tour with and we also may need minimum numbers to partake in some of the activities we do at different venues.

We will contact at least a week out from your tour if we are below ideal numbers to discuss your options (reschedule, run with fewer people or full refund).

What if Aussie Brewery Tours cancel a tour?

If we need to cancel a tour we will offer you a full refund (or reissue and extension of gift cards). We can also work with you to change dates or tour if that suits.

Where are your pick-up locations?

Our main pick-up is at Federation Square - the corner of Russell and Flinders St in Melbourne.

If you book directly with us, we also have hotel pickups all over Melbourne. We recommend you drop us a line on the chat if you wish to check your hotel before hand (general rule of thumb, if it is within 4km of Federation Square it should be fine).

Can you pick me up from my hotel?

If you book direct with us we are happy to pick you up from your hotel. Please select it during check-out, if your hotel is not listed, please reply to your order email and we will add it in for you.

Do you do pick-ups on the way to the Yarra Valley or Mornington Peninsula?

For our new private "public" tours, we have a ton of prick-ups, so please check the product page. For our true public tours we pick-up on the way to the Yarra Valley at Ringwood or Lilydale Stations. For our Mornington tours we can pick you up at Frankston station.

Please just choose the appropriate pickup option when you book your tour.

I am staying in the Yarra Valley or on the Mornington Peninsula, can I be picked up there?

The short answer is maybe - ha!

Both areas are very large so we recommend chatting to us before you book. If it is possible, we will do it.

How long are gift cards valid?

Gift cards are valid for three years from the purchase date.

If you cannot find this on the card or the accompanying documents, please get in contact and we can check it for you.

What if my gift card expires before I use it?

Get in contact with us and we will see what we can do. It may be expired forever, we may be able to restore it. We will do our best!

What products can I use your gift cards on?

You can use gift cards to purchase any tours, events or merchandise produced or operated by Aussie Brewery Tours via its website: www.aussiebrewerytours.com.au

They can not be used on any tours sold by us from any of our affiliate partners, e.g. Melbourne by Foot or Epicurean Tours.

I was given this gift card as a gift but I don’t want it. What can I do?

We recommend that you come along and have an awesome day - if not, perhaps you could regift it?

How many people do I need for a private tour?

One. Although it would be better with two or more.

More of our private tours are five guests right up to 100 or more. For some activites, minimum numbers may apply, but it is best that we work that out with you as we create your tour.

Do I need to pay a deposit to lock in my tour?

Yes. We take a 30% deposit to lock in all tours.

When is the balance of my tour due?

We finanilise your numbers and remainding balance a week from the event.

When do you need the final numbers of the tour?

We get these off you a week out from your event.

What if I need to cancel my private tour?

Please contact us immediately to discuss your options (you can also check our terms and conditions - but we recommended contacting us, we will try to help).

We want to dress up, is this okay?

The answer is both ‘yes’ and ‘no’. You can dress up, as long as it is appropriate for public consumption, including kids – almost all the places we visit will have other patrons at them. You will also need to bring a change of clothes as each venue has the right to ask you to change. We recommend bringing costumes with you, and dressing up where appropriate.

Can we drink on the bus?

By law, no.

Now trust us when we say (and we have a lot of experience here) that you just don’t need drinks on the way to the first stop, or in between breweries. We are going to take you to visit 3-4-5 breweries and cideries on a 4-5 hour tour. We have never heard anyone say, “Wow, there really wasn’t enough for me to drink today” after one of our tours. You’ll be well hydrated, we promise. On the way home, well, we can't stop what we don't see ;)

How much alcohol is supplied?

We usually include the first 2+ drinks at each stop, consisting of mega-tastings and complimentary drink.

It is best to have a look at the individual tours and each stop to see what is included. Again though we can say that our tours are great value – which is why we have such high ratings – and you will be sufficiently hydrated by days end!

Can we buy extra drinks?

Yes, but you probably won't need too. But if you think a round of espresso martinis is in order, who are we to say DOOOOO ITTTTTTTT DO IT NOW?!
